Top 5 Saints Final Failures
5) 1st Semi Final 2010 vs Port Malmö at Limhamnsfältet - 2 years later and we are in the same situation again. This year is more dissapoining so far as we dropped from 2nd to 4th. In 2010 we came from the bottom to 4th. We had two good games against the Maulers in the home and away and should have won at least one. Third time lucky? No chance, the Saints look tireded and never looked like winning - FAIL
4) 1st Semi Final 2001 vs Århus at Århusvej - Similar to this season. All we had to do was beat lowly Copenhagen Crocodiles in the last round to secure a home final against the Bombers. We got thumped, and an expensive trip to Jutland turned what most expected failure and a massive exedous of players in 2002 - FAIL
3) Preliminary Final 1998 vs Farum at Stenvadskolen - We scraped into 4th spot, despite nearly beating undefeated Copenhagen Crocodiles. Many thought the Saints would go all the way after that performance. In the 1st Semi Final at Stefans BK, we were thrashing North Coenhagen in the first half, and suddenly we were Premiership favorites. But in the second half the Barras came back and nearly snatched the match. The second half form continued next week in the Preliminary Final in a lack lustre match - FAIL
2) Preliminary Final 2006 vs Jutland at Limhamnsfältet - After surprising the the critics by making the 2005 Grand Final, the Saints were ready to go one better. We had beaten our biggest opponents Farum in a home and away game. But with so matches in the Skåne League and Regional Series the Saints were very very match tired. It showed.. there was no glow, and with a wind infested game, the Shinboners came from behind with the wind to win the game, and put the first Jutland team in a DAFL Grand Final. They did account themselves well against Farum, but lost.... but most people are sure if the Saints won that Preliminary Final the Saints would have won their first flag. In 2007 the Malmö players left the Saints and got their own team in the Premier League - FAIL
1) Grand Final 1996 vs Farum at Stenvadskolen - The Grand Daddy of them all! After beating every team by over 100 points and being undefeated the home and away. The Saints were of course big favorites to take the flag. They had beaten their Grand Final opponents Farum by 199 points! The Saints lost.... - FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL!
